RECORD-SETTING DAY FOR THE MOOSE AT ST. JOSEPH'S
STANDISH, ME — The UMaine Augusta Moose Track & Field team delivered a standout performance on Saturday, April 11 at the meet hosted by St. Joseph's College, highlighted by record-breaking efforts from Kayden Ames and Daniel Tewogbade.
Ames led the way with a dominant showing in the throwing events, breaking the school record in the discus with an impressive mark of 42.84 meters to claim a first-place finish. He wasn't done there—Ames continued his historic day by setting another program record in the hammer throw with a distance of 38.36 meters, solidifying one of the top individual performances in program history.
Daniel Tewogbade soared to new heights in the high jump, clearing 1.93 meters to set a new school record. His performance earned him a first-place finish and further showcased the Moose's growing presence in the field events.
It was a memorable and historic day for UMaine Augusta, as the Moose continue to raise the bar and build momentum this season.
