Moose Improve to 4-1 With Road Victory Over NHTI

CONCORD, NH – UMA women's basketball picked up their 4th consecutive YSCC conference victory at NHTI Sunday improving their record to 4-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Moose got off to a slow start and trailed the Lynx for most of the first quarter that ended with NHTI up 22-13. With 2 minutes remaining in the second quarter Hope Butler came up with a big rebound followed by a layup by Kaeti Butterfield made it a 7-point game going into the half. Kaeti Butterfield ignited the Moose offensively in the 2nd half and would go on to finish with a season high 31 points.

Kate Stevens tied the game back up in the 4th quarter making it 57-57 with just under 8 minutes to go. The Moose then took the lead and held off the Lynx for their first regular season road win.

NOTES OF THE GAME

Kaeti Butterfield had 31 points, 10 rebounds, and a block

Madeline Suhr had 22 points, and 16 rebounds

Hope Butler had 17 points and 11 rebounds
