CONCORD, NH –NHTI hosted the YSCC Cross County Conference Championships this past weekend with 8 schools competing on a beautiful fall day in New England. The NHTI loop style course that circumnavigates a small pond on campus is picturesque, flat, and fast and many runners raced their way to personal bests during the meet.
WATERVILLE, ME – UMA cross country ran local this past weekend as Colby College hosted the Maine State Cross Country Championship at Quarry road recreation.
AUGUSTA, ME – The University of Maine at Augusta hosted their 2nd annual 5K Invitational on Saturday September 28th on the Alvin Fields and UMA trails. Thomas College finished first in team scoring in both the men’s and women’s race with Jarod Ottman taking the overall win running 16:53. Freshman Dulce Moguel won the women’s race running 28:16 on the rolling course finishing almost a full minute ahead of 2nd place.
BRUNSWICK, ME – UMA cross country returned to Bowdoin College on Saturday after having the weekend off from racing over the long fall weekend.
BRUNSWICK, ME – UMA cross country traveled to Bowdoin for the 2nd year in a row to run in the Maine State Invitational. Maine States has become one of the largest collegiate cross country meets during the season in Maine and this year Bowdoin hosted 18 schools including 6 out of state DIII schools.
AUGUSTA, ME ? The University of Maine at Augusta hosted their first home meet in program history on one of the most storied cross country courses in the state. The UMA cross country course used to be the site of the Maine high school state championships and is still the site of the Mountain Valley Championships each fall. The UMA 5K course has seen standout performances by some elite runners from Maine including Ben True and Matt Lane.
UNITY, ME – The UMA men’s and women’s cross country teams traveled to Unity over the weekend to compete in a dual meet hosted by Unity College.
RANDOLPH, VT – The men’s cross country team to Vermont to compete in the Vermont Tech Invitational on Saturday to open their season.
UMA men?s cross country returns 3 runners from the 2017 season. Sam Gerken (Junior) will lead the Moose in the top spot followed by fellow returners Dustin Simpson-Bragg (Senior) and Caleb Fortin (Sophomore) looking to challenge him.
AUGUSTA - The 49th University of Maine at Augusta commencement was held on Saturday, May 14th, celebrating 400 hundred students receiving their respective degrees. In the graduating class, there were 9 student-athletes that received their degrees at the Civic Center before their friends, family, and faculty.
