UMAINE AUGUSTA MOOSE - Men's Basketball welcomes Willie Murray (Assistant Coach)!
Willie, a Roxbury, MA native, brings a deep passion and commitment to the game of basketball developed through years of playing and coaching experience. He spent his senior and postgraduate years at the Hoosac School in Hoosick, NY, where he was a senior captain and 1st Team All NEPSAC selection. He also played for several AAU programs throughout his playing career.
 
Willie was recruited to the University of Maine at Farmington by Coach Dick Meader, but an injury led him to shift focus to coaching. While at UMF, he served as a Student Assistant Coach Under Coach Sam Leal and Coach Quinn Newton. He was involved in the day-to-day operations, assisted with daily practices and practice prep, and helped coordinate gameday logistics. He also supported players looking to improve outside of practice time.
 
Willie graduated from UMF with a degree in Sports Management. He had worked numerous basketball camps and trained athletes at the Division I, II, and III levels. His background as both a player and coach continues to fuel his commitment to helping athletes grow on and off the court.
 
Willie joins UMAINE AUGUSTA as an Assistant Men's Basketball Coach.
