Bio
Chesley is a captain of the basketball team and a 1,000 point scorer for the Moose. Last year, he earned the record of most points scored in one season at UMA: 674, which was 14 points greater than the previos record set in 1986. In his junior season he was named USCAA Men's Basketball Division II Studnet-Athlete of the Year. Chelsey is the son of Greg & Lori Chesley. His father Greg also played for the Moose team and was a 1,000 point scorer. A Lawrence High School graduate, Chesley played four sports: baseball, basketball, golf, and tennis. He was on the National Honor Society, a member of the PRIDE club, and was captain of three of his sports teams.
Chesley is currently a Special Education major with a minor in Biology. He has aspirations of becoming an Athletic Director. Chesley has been a YSCC player of the Week, a two- time Academic All-American, and he also lead the league in rebounding his freshmen year. Last season, Chesley averaged 24.1 points per game, and 9.9 rebounds, just shy of averaging a double-double on the season.
