Hometown: Hallowell, ME

Major: Liberal Studies

High school highlights:

  • Western Maine Champion in Soccer
  • State Runner-up in Soccer

Mannix will certainly bolster the Moose frontcourt this season.  However, it will be his leadership experience and high basketball IQ that will truly make the difference for this young Moose team. "Taylor arrives to UMA after serving his Country proudly,” boasts Head Coach Jim Ford. “Having played for Legendary Coach Joe Russo at the Varsity level at Portland High Taylor is prepared to add his talent and expertise to the Moose rotation". 

Interesting fact about Taylor: “I write music in my free time and have never been to New York City.”

The class he is looking forward to the most her first semester at UMA: Taylor is really looking forward to his English class.  He loves to write.

What he likes most about UMA: Taylor really enjoys the friendly environment at UMA.

Taylors’s mentor: “My former NCO in the military SGT Van. He taught me everything I needed to know, including some good moral ethics and values that I’ve applied to my life since being out.”
