Rising Scholars Announced

UMA Athletics would like to congratulate all of the 2020 Rising Scholars who received recognition last Friday during the UMA Convocation Ceremony. Each year, staff and faculty of UMA nominate rising scholars based upon those who have either excelled in or out of the classroom and whom show great potential and promise as student scholars. There were five student-athletes selected as rising scholars for the 2020-21 academic year. Israel Brown (senior), Fred Martinez (sophomore), Matija Andjelkovic (sophomore), Cassidy Lessner (junior), and Kaeti Butterfield (sophomore), all whom play basketball for UMA. These student-athletes have demonstrated dedication and resilience during an especially turbulent time.
