Caitlin LaFountain named National USCAA Player of the Week

Junior Caitlin LaFountain has been named USCAA Women’s Division II Basketball Player of the Week. The Moose have improved to 7-1 on the season with a victory over Southern Maine CC and the University of Maine Machias.

Junior Caitlin LaFountain has been named USCAA Women’s Division II Basketball Player of the Week. The Moose have improved to 7-1 on the season with a victory over Southern Maine CC and the University of Maine Machias.

LaFountain put up 24 points and 19 boards while recording 5 blocks against SMCC. The junior was 8-10 from the line in the 62-60 victory.

Last night, Caitlin continued to dominate at home in the Augusta Civic Center netting 18 points, 12 rebounds, 2 blocks and 2 steals in UMA’s win over Machias to bring the Moose to 7-1 for the season.
