SOUTH PORTLAND, MAINE – UMA traveled to SMMC to face the Seawolves, 14-3 (10-1) Wednesday night to face one of the strongest teams in the YSCC conference.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Seawolves got on an offensive roll right from the start going up 16-3 in the opening minutes and there was no looking back for SMCC. With 6 minutes left in the first half Alex LaFountain got the Moose within 5 points off of a layup but SMCC quickly responded and built a 40-25 lead going into the second half.
The Moose continued to have shooting trouble in the second half and were not able to close the gap opened up by the Seawolves in the first half. SMCC would go on to win 75-58.
- The Moose shot 36.4% from the floor (20-55), 31.8% from three-point land and 56.% at the charity stripe with 37 rebounds, 11 assists, seven steals, 1 block and forced 18 turnovers.
- Dustin Simpson-Bragg led the Moose on offense with 17 points and 8 rebounds
- Noah Thompson had 12 points 3 rebounds, and 4 assists
The Moose are set to host Hampshire College at SMCC in South Portland, Maine on Saturday January 26th at 2PM.
