AUGUSTA, Maine – For the second week in a row, a University of Maine at Augusta basketball player has received the Player of the Week nod from the Yankee Small College Conference.
Last week, Freshman Arreonte Lee (San Antonio, Tex) received
the honor after averaging a double-double in each of her first
contests at the college level. The 5’9 guard averaged over 16
points ten rebounds per game, helping guide the team to a
conference win over Eastern Maine Community College.
Last week, Lee reached the 30 point plateau for the first time, netting a triple double and falling just three assists shy of a quadruple double. She had 31 points, 13 rebounds, and 11 steals to help the Lady Moose defeat the College of St. Joseph’s 92-50.
This week, Andrew Pullen (Augusta, Maine) received YSCC Player of the Week honors after a grueling week that had the Moose playing five games in five days, including two games on Saturday. The 6’6 forward was named to the Bates College Tip-Off Tournament All Tournament team and averaged 18.8 points per game.
Pullen also led the Moose to their first win of the season with a 27 point, 11 rebound game against Paul Smith’s College Saturday night.
