In individual play, Matt Delaney (Burnham, Maine) of the Augusta campus team is the highest seed in 12th place, with an average of 149.80 heading into the weekend. Seeded right below him at 13 is Joseph Holmes (Pittsfield, Maine) of UMA Bangor with an average of 148.40. Augusta’s Eric Gagne (Hallowell, Maine) will also compete in the men’s individual championship with an average of 144.75 for the season.
In women’s individual play, UMA will send four players ranked in the top ten. Kim Demello (Augusta, Maine) is ranked in sixth place with an average of 138.00, while Ashley Peaslee (South China, Maine) is right behind Demello with a 133.60 average. Rounding out the eighth and ninth place spots from UMA Bangor are Katrina Meucci (130.40) and Laurie Murphy (121.20).
The individual championships will take place Saturday afternoon at 4:00 pm at Sparetime Recreation in Augusta. Team play begins Sunday at 10:00 am. At that time, third seeded UMA will face off against number six seed NHTI in the first round, while eighth seeded UMA-Bangor will take on the nine seed EMCC.

AUGUSTA, Maine – The University of Maine Augusta co-ed
bowling team is in third place out of a ten team field heading into
this weekend’s Yankee Small College Conference bowling
championship. The UMA Bangor team is in eighth place.
