AUGUSTA, ME - The University of Maine-Augusta (7-1) women’s basketball team extended their winning streak to five games with an 80-50 win over the University of Maine-Machias Clippers (4-4) at the Augusta Civic Center Tuesday night.
AUGUSTA - It didn’t take long for the Southern Maine Community College Seawolves (7-2) to establish their game as The University of Maine-Augusta Moose (3-5) men’s basketball team found themselves trailing 8-0 just a minute after the opening tip-off, and eventually finishing off the Moose for a 108-86 victory.
The Seawolves opened with a 12-0 run and never looked back as they amounted a 15-point lead, 38-23, with 7:00 remaining in the first half.
Fort Kent, ME—The University of Maine at Augusta traveled to Fort Kent, ME over the weekend to take on the Bengals from the University of Maine at Fort Kent. While travel could have easily slowed the Moose at the start of the game, they sprung off to an early 23-16 lead over Fort Kent in the first quarter. Junior Caitlin LaFountain netted a quick 8 points and 7 boards in one quarter of action, which forced the Bengals to add more pressure in the paint.
BRUNSWICK, Maine – UMA cross country returned to Bowdoin College for their second invitational facing a competitive field of runners including YSCC conference competition at the Pickard Cross Country course.
AUGUSTA, ME—On Saturday, September 30th, the UMA Moose will host their home invitational golf match at the Augusta Country Club in Manchester, Maine. The Moose have recently named the Augusta Country Club their home course where they hosted a very successful golf tournament fundraiser this past summer.
